PROS AND CONS - HIGHLY CREVICE CARBAMET SERVICE - HIGH PRESSURE ISOLATION VALVE MAINTENANCE

Dear all, Good morning!
As mentioned in subject we have high pressure Angle Globe isolation Valve of stripper (8" x 2500 #)
in highly corrosive Carbamate service whose bonnet (RTJ) gasket is leaking and we don't have spares
in hand, packing ring as well as RTJ ring. I have the option as follows, pl. discuss its Pros and cons.
Option 1) Leave the job until spares receive in hand (Risk of anytime catastrophic failure & curtailment)
2) Take a job during Short Shut Down & check the condition and repair RTJ grove if any damage (Box up with used RTJ ring gasket). (Risk of RTJ not sitting properly as it takes shape of grove already & valve can't be put in service)

Your valuable suggestion / discussion / Remarks will be highly appreciated.

Advice:
No shortcuts if life is in danger. Stop, wait and repair! Then get better routines and preparations for maintenance and longtime running without unplanned stops for the future!

Comment:
What timeframe is 'until spares can arrive'? Companies does exist that could supply you with specially made salings to accurate measure within a production day or two, plus airfreight/expressfreight. If 'normal delivery' is longer you have the special production as an alternative at higher cost.

Note: You have to have exact measurements and material quality requirements for existing sealings, but you could supply in other (better) material if your valve producer accept. Your valve producer should anyway give you the service of necessary information.
