Hi all,
I would appreciate some advice on what the benefits/reasoning of having the configuration displayed in the attachment would be (extracted from Alstom's NPAG). Am I correct in saying that the HV neutrals are grounded to allow the upstream LV CB to detect over current in a line to ground fault scenario, and this therefore saves the need for HV switchgear? I haven't been able to find many examples of protection schemes for StepUp StepDown transformer feeder applications (if anyone has a good reference for this that would be greatly appreciated).
Thanks in advance.
