Is anyone using computer modeling for his or her protection systems? It is not unusual to find protection systems that have contacts that are called upon to break more current than rated to be able to break or a miss-operation due to sneak circuits. We use the PC based Bentley Micro-Station software, based on the Intergraph CAD software, to generate our schemes. What software has become the standard to model control circuit, if any, and can we utilize the existing Micro-Station files with the modeling software?
