Hi Guys,
I have been given a protection single line diagram for a
induction generator which will be connected to local utility.
The actual situation is that there are two induction generators but the diagram has only one, so I have to develop a new one with two, So my question is
Q #1 Should I just copy and paste same protection with the second paralled generator . If a fault occurs in one, is there any coordination required that the other will be stopped alos.
I dont wanna just give wrong information with my less knowledge of protection.
thanks

You'll need to know the motor characteristics of the new generator. You just can't assume you can copy the settings, as most likely, they will be different.

Both generators are similar I think they had an impression that it is gonna be one generator, so they did not put the second one, from the diagram I see they have only two relays
SEL 551 and 547, I looked at the websites and I am also wondering, when we talk about bus protection that is a part of switch gear protection, in my case will these two relays take care of bus protection or we have to have a seperate bus protection.
Thanks

I still go back to my original response. As to your second question, I think the answer is "it depends". It depends on your switchgear/bus setup, and the level of backup/reliability you want.
