prpsheet revision

I am looking to be able to write a script that would allow me to extract the $prpsheet:{revision}information from a drawing without having to open it. I would like to be able to go through an entire directory and get the drawing name and rev level of that drawing in that directory into a txt file. Is this possible with having to open each file?
