prt is an invalid file, cannot be retrieved 1

Good day

We received some Pro/E files from a customer.

We tried opening them in WildFire 2 and WildFire 3 and always get either of these messages:

file name.prt is an invalid file

file name.prt cannot be retrieved

I don't know what version of Pro/E these files are. What could be causing this?

OK, it looks like they are CAD-key files not Pro/E files... we opened them in Pro/E and got a whole bunch of 2D data.

prt is a cad-key extension also.. you might want to d/l this and take a peek.. is time-dated .. so it will expire.. but should help ya

BTW we can now view the files using the Kubotek Spectrum Lite viewer:

Kubotek.... looks to be a better price for the full version than AutoVue and about the same number of filetypes
