Hi, I am trying to source for a pressure relief valve that can withstand an acidity level of between 0.5 and 2.0.

The application of the PRV is for a demulsifier chemical injection pump unit and the chemicals used in the pump are mostly acetic acid based.

What I am presently using is made up of a CF8M alloy encasement and a 316 Stainless Steel base material.Could you please suggest a better material instead?

Thanks in anticipation of your cooperation

Would this be a good application for a rupture disc ahead of a standard PSV?

The disc provides the protection to the PSV against the acetic acid corrosion. The PSV can be standard steel. Add a pressure gauge/transmitter to detect rupture/leaks. If you do a price comparison, this may be cheaper. It may also be easier to find a rupture disc in the correct material than a PSV.
