Need to know if bronze bodied PRV's are acceptable for use in petroleum (Aviation fuel) storage and distribution systems. PRV's in question are attached to the Aboveground Storage tank inlet and outlet piping. PRV valve and valve seat are Stainless steel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many operating companies exclude copper alloys in hydrocarbon service. Piping specifications for aviation fuel storage (gasoline and kerosine) are carbon steel. The valves (including pressure safety relief valves) comply with or exceed the piping specification.

Typically, no yellow metal in oil and gas.

Fire water system is an exception - lots of yellow (brass I think, and copper) there.
