OK, I know that I should probably be using Classic, but I would like to attempt a PSD (random vibration) simulation in Workbench. Does anyone know of a way to do this? I read somewhere that when V11 is released, it will be better suited to handle this, but I would like to find a way to do it in the meantime.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
no direct way. You can of course add a Commands snippet that includes all the APDL needed to setup and launch a PSD, but... good luck (and absolutely unuseful)! You'd better setup your model in WB and then call the Classical interface, from which you can finish your job.

Regards

Take a look at v11. They have PSD available directly supported through the GUI. If you TECS are up to date, you can download it through the customer portal.

MEinCO,

Wow, sorry, I just realized I didn't really answer your question. I did a write-up on doing a prestressed PSD analysis here:

In it there is a link on how to do a PSD-only analysis.

Once again, sorry for partially reading your question and immediately jumping to an answer you already knew.
