Hello everyone,
I'm working on a software to chek the PSD of an time history in order to match the NUREG-800, SRP 3.7.1, Appendix A. In short words, my time history have to match 80% of the Appendix A PSD. I wounder to know how to check frequency by frequency such criteria, since the PSD from the Appendix is a smoothing curve, and the PSD taken as abs(fft)^2 /(pi*duration of strong motion) is everything but smooth. I though in take the Welch PSD, with is a kind of average and so a more smooth curve. In this case, I had doubts about how to consider the window effect on the PSD values.
I would appreciate any help and thanks in advance.
Ademar.
