If you have a given amount of weight (300lbs) being exerted on to the head of a machine, say like a milling machine, and there is a slight variation in the surface (a low spot or even a high spot for that matter, +/- 1/8”) and each cutting head is individually spring loaded would they not adjust accordingly to the given height of the surface? I realize that in the low spots would be slightly less psi and more psi in the high spots than the surrounding areas but would they also be “cut” to a similar degree?
I hope this Q makes at least a little since, it was the best way I could explain it. If you have any more Q’s, fire away. Thanks for your input on this one.
