Hi all ,

Knowing that wetbulb temperature and enthalpy lines are not identical (only approximated on chart) .
I have a point of known wetness (kg/kg) and known dry bulb temperature and I want to know it's exact enthalpy . Then indentify the point that has the same enthalpy with an RH% of 100% .
How can I do that on a psychrometric chart ?

Thanks in advance

If it needs to be that exact I would recommend using a psychrometric calculator.Pleanty can be found online. Do not forget to correct for elevation.

I was taught the following method by an old timer.

You have enthalpy values on the bottom/right side as well as above the saturation curve (diagonal) on your chart.

Place your pencil on your point and adjust straight edge until you read the same enthalpy on both 'sides of the chart. One side being the right/bottom and the other being the diagonal above the saturation curve.

Better answer is to use one of the free p-chart calculators online. I use one at

I use Link Once in awhile I calculate AHU completely by way of the tool too!

Yes you can do it on a psych chart. Find you starting point with the dry bulb and moisture and simply draw the enthalpy line up front that point. If you psych chart does not show the enthalpy marks you might need to get a better chart.....
