PTC has announced that it has acquired CoCreate Software GmbH.

I talked to a Cocreate User.. and his words about PTC buying it out were "Oh No!! "

Why doesn't PTC fine tune and improve their existing product instead of adding yet another branch to the tree.
How they're going to get all of these products to work smoothly together is beyond me. They seem to have trouble managing their core product, and inplementing user-submitted enhancement requests and bug-fixes.
They're going to shoot themselves in the foot by having too many lines that are marginal, instead of a couple products that are outstanding!

My guess is that they want access to direct face modeling technology. Seimens (UGS) seems to be putting more of this functionality into NX.
