PTS doesn't create a new file when inserted in Assembly

I created a fully parametric part and created a PTS interface for it through PTS Author application.
Then, I saved this file to a directory that is inside the Reuse Library.

When I create new assemblies and try to drag and drop it from the Reuse Library, it creates a reference to the original part instead of a new part. How can I make it a separate part everytime I drag and drop it into the assembly?

I'm using NX version 2206

Hello javaxp

I don't have any krx file though, only the PTS part file and the assembly file.

Shouldn't this work out of the box without the need to manually edit any files? What is the expected behavior? I thought that what I'm trying to achieve was the whole purpose of the PTS Author application. If it doesn't work like this, why would I need it?

Hi Andersen07,

I don't have experience with PTS but I think it should work too. On the Reuse Library Navigator click RMB the reusable part and choose Create KRX file; then, edit the file as indicated on the above link.

Hello,

Check the property "Enable Copy/Clone on drag and drop" under PTS main menu Interface>Main Dialog>Properties
