I am looking for weblink of Publications / Published Papers (similar to IEEE publications) / Journals / Magazines viz. on Electrical Power System Study, Substations, Switchgear, Relay Protection, etc. The intent is to find and read published Papers / Lessons learned from Projects. Please note that I am not looking for Catalogues / Manuals.

I assume another unspoken requirement is that you don't want to have to pay for anything?

You might start here: faq238-1287

Schneider's Cahiers Techniques series of publications is well worth a read. Free too. [wink]

Thanks dpc and ScottyUK for your response and information provided.

Please note that I do not mind becoming a member and paying membership charges or charges for downloading paper as long as the information available is useful to my requirements.

My best recommendation is to join the IEEE and then its Power Engineering Society and sign up for the PES database of papers, not the IEEE wide database (way too expensive) but just the Power Engineering database for about $50-$60 per year over the price of IEEE membership and the PES Society membership. Go to and seriously consider joining.

When you do so, you will find an almost overwhelming volume of professional papers on almost any topic in the power field. Many of them are tutorials so if you are not up to speed in an area, you have help available. You can do a very specific search to find what you need and then download it for your use.

I have been a member for over 40 years and always thought it was money well spent, even when I had to pay for it myself which was most of my career.
