Pulsation Dampener Installation Location

If I have 2 pumps discharging into a common header and a pulsation dampener installed in the header between where the pumps tie into the header (upstream of pump 1 but downstream of pump 2). I assume this will still have net + effect on pump 2 discharge but presumably less efficiently. Does anyone have a qualitative estimation of whether this an ok situation. Small chemical dosing pumps 60 psi max 8gph

Assuming the dampener located on the common discharge header of two pumps but not blocked by any isolated valve.
