Hi All

i have recently received an eamil from a customer regarding, acceleration head losses in a pump at duty flow. What dose this mean???
They have asked for some calculations and a figure for the acceleration head losses in at flow rate of 18L/h - 20L/H.

I would ask the client if he knows what it means and why he needs it.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Is this a centrifugal pump or a recriprocating pump or other?

I would guess that the customer wants to know how to calculate acceleration head loss in the pump's suction line... to meet NPSHR for a positive displacement pump.

Seems like another 20 question thread developing.

I didn't ask any question, so we can't count that one.
