2. What is the advantage of split case pumps over end suction pumps?

3. when and where are split case pumps prefered ? and when the endsuction?

4. what should be the first preference when selecting the design ( End suction or split case)

Recommended for you

1. cheaper, one mech seal
2. more flow, lower npsh requirements, less radial laoding on shaft, easier maintenance
3. splitcase are for high flow, low head situations, very dependable, fire pumps
end suctions are cheaper per HP usually, and much more plentiful in selection, used for everything under the sun.
4, See the above.
