Hi,

We have an application where PD Pump (Gear Pump) pumps heating oil and diesel into heat string to prevent hydtrate formation inside the gas well. The problem with the gear pumps is that the heating oil has to be filtered to 10 microns and we end up changing filters often.

Would anyonw recommend a reliable pump that will handle dirty diesel and heating oil. The suction presssure is 5 psig discharge is 700 PSIG rate is 2 gpm

hello,

For this duty I recommend double helix screw pump with double filter and front of the pump. Filter size is really too small, it shoud be increased lot. Motor of the pump must be oversized. Lot of manufacturer have this pump in production program, as package unit (pump + standby, double filter with pressure control inclusive all piping).
This is usually solution at the Far East (where lot of dirtiness usually with sand and even stones exist).
