I am in Colorado. I am working to install a petro chemical process in an outdoors area. This process has typical mechanical process cooling equipment for this area.
This will involve installing pumps mounted on baseplates and sub plates-these will need to be anchored to a foundation, HVAC equipment such as 40 carrier chiller units, Aquatowers evaporative film Marley type towers, Water storgae 850 gallon poly tanks, some other equipment. What codes for foundation design apply? Is the specific design found in the international mechanical codes? International Plumbing codes? International Building codes?
I didnt want to have to order a library of books to find the correct and applicable code.
So far online all I can find is language like "foundation suitable to support pumps" or "foundation poured to local code, and then no reference...' the closest ive come for a pump outside is either "minimum 5.5" reinforced concrete house keeping pad..." or that the "pad should be 3 times the mass of the centrifugal pump assembly".
any help in this is greatly appreciated..... i also have wet scrubber packaged units where I will need to pour dikes... another quetsion for another day possibly
