Dear all
How to calculate pump head for cooling tower pump 100 m3/hr flows from 6”pipe at 8 m height (existing).
Cooling water uses in three different places
1. Surface condenser 20 m3/hr around 300 m distance, static head 20m pipe size 4” and water back to same height again.(0.6 kgf/cm2 drop in condenser)
2. Chilling system (VAM machine) 60 m3/hr around 250 m distance, static head 2m pipe size 4” and water back to same height again. (0.8 kgf/cm2 drop in system)
3. Crystallizer 20 m3/hr around 500 m distance, static head 8m pipe size 4” and water back to same height again. (1 kgf/cm2 drop in crystallizer)
If we use less head pump (35-40 mtr head) it will able to pump require flow in each pipe?
How to maintain flow distribution?
What will the procedure to calculate pressure drop in this pipe networking?
This is close circuit is there siphon concept also?
