In regards to these threads, I wanted to add what I found since the posts are closed
In ANSI/HI 9.8-2018, the American National Standard for Rotodynamic Pumps for Pump Intake Design,
1) For parallel pumps & the use of baffles/ pump bays: For pumps with design flows of 315L/s (5000gpm) or less, no partition walls between pumps are required, and the minimum pump spacing shall be 2D. Page 12.
2) For intake design it states:
Back wall distance: B=0.75D.
Side wall distance: W=2D with W being pump bay entrance width
Bottom clearance: Distance between the inner bell & floor. 0.3D<= C<=0.5D
Through the diagrams and tables on pages 13-15.
Cameron Hydraulic Data from 1977, 15th edition states similarly on pages 23-24.
