pump station location over buildings.

hi all
can any one help me to showing the different in stand pipe,
and pumps calculation between putting fire pump over buildings and the usual way by putting it at the ground?

If you put the firewater tank on the roof, then usually you need to pump it up there and then use gravity flow to feed the hydrants etc.

Or use it as a booster pump from the ground up.

There is no point in putting the pump on the roof.
