Anyone know where you can purchase SolidWorks at the lowest price? I understand SolidWorks has ended their free stimulus package. Thank you very much.

Are you in school? If you are you can get an educational seat. If you are doing commercial work you will need to find a SolidWorks Reseller in your area.

Check out the SolidWorks website for info on Educational seats or your nearest reseller.

You can go to one of the Test Drives at the VARs, They used to give out a 30day licenses for premium version but I think they cut down or stopped doing so unless you seemed like you were actually going to purchase. If you aren't a student and want to buy a Professional Version I'd suggest buying near the end of a release like sw2012 SP5.# when they typically offer deals to boost their sales because most of their money is made off of subscription service which includes tech support and upgrades to next version 2013 or 2012B not sure what they'll be calling it with Unlucky numbers "Ever been in an elevator that said 12B instead of 13?"

Deals are usually buy software cheaper by 0-$1000 don't quote me on that. Or you can get Premium for price of Standard or other add-inns bundled etc.

To find your local VAR Value Added Reseller use the following link
Find Local SW Reseller
Text Link Location: for you copy-pasters out there
Then search for upcoming Demos or other Events like Test Drives now with a new mini training book which is better and more informative than the previous ones.
