Hey guys

is that possible to connect a single-phase pv system to a three-phase grid? If yes, how will it work? I mean, it can only be connected neutral-phase or between two phases. Will it supply only single phase load? And the surplus energy, does it can be delivered to the grid? Will it introduce any phase unbalance?

The bulk of the load is also single phase-neutral connected. The PV is just a bit of negative load. As long as things are kept relatively well balanced it won't be a problem.

Really depends on the system. If you are in the US on a residential 120/208V large utility service it isn't a big deal for a reasonable portion of the load; same would go for a European 230V system. You get into problems if you are connecting it downstream of a small (relative to the PV) 3-phase isolation transformer, as you will cause substantial imbalance.

My gut feeling is that you would be better off connecting line-line rather than line-neutral if there are any three-phase motors, but that could have a host of challenges as well.
