Dear all,

although strictly speaking is not an Asme subject, it might be possible that some of you can help me up with the following issue:
For a 64in sea water process vessel, I need to calculate a drilled plate (a tubesheet) made from PVC.
Meanwhile in steel we use ultimate tensile strenght and yield stress as ref. data for allowable stress calculation, I don´t know which is the usual criteria for PVC.
Can any of you provide me with some guideline?
Thanks in advance

I just found this website today. It has material properties, but nothing about allowable stresses.

I'm interested what design codes are typically used ...

Good Luck! RAF
