Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any information or know where I can get ahold of information about connections (wye or tee) from a lateral 6" SDR35 PVC to an existing 6" x-strength vitrified clay main?

As far as I can tell, there is hardly anything other than a saddle connection available. Saddle connections are prohibited in the plumbing code.

Is installation of a manhole my only viable option? Thoughts and opinions on tie-ing in at a 45 wye or 90 tee, if such a thing is available?

Thanks

Thanks for the response.
I contacted insertatee today. Unfortunately both pipes are the same diameter and they cannot do that.

Do you know of any codes surrounding the tie in from PVC to VCF? Is it allowed to tie in at a 90* angle? I feel like this would create turbulence or something similar to exceeding a 45* in a sewer main.

I am thinking manhole may be the best option unless I can bring the new line so it will work with a regular couplet.

Just looking at viable, cheaper options first.
