Dear Forum,
We are fabricating a P 22 piping. In one of the weld joint which is dissimilar weld(P22 to SS304H), we observed that weld capp was very rough and was creating lot of confusion while interpreting its radiograph done after the PWHT.
It was smoothened with bit of grinding, but later felt that a capping is required on the ground portion having cavities and roughness.
We have planned for recapping the joint. Do we need to carry out the complete PWHT cycle again? or only pre heating and post heating should be OK because it ia local surface repair?
