PWHT Time Calculation

A Half inch thick plate is to be PWTH ed. The rate of heating and cooling shall be at a pace of 500 degrees F per hour per inch.What is the total time required for PWHT, if the material is heated from 600 degrees to 1350 degrees F , soak for 6 hours and cool from 1350 to 600 degree .?

Code of Construction is required. You state rate of heating/cooling to be 500F/hr per inch. This would mean 1000F/hr for 1/2". I know of no Construction Codes that will allow this much heating/cooling...maybe the farm code.

Can anyone tell what is the time required for half inch plate to heat 250F is the heat of rating is 500F per hour per inch
