I would with several Environmental Specialists that are working toward taking the QEP - Qualified Environmental Professional exam. Someone told that they had heard that is program may be going away. I did a google search and could not find any reports on the strengths or weaknesses of the program. I thought I would post here and see if anyone had any knowledge about the program.

Perhaps state where you are. Could be a local designation only. Do Google search for ASCE Environmental and you will see they pretty well cover the environmental engineering subject.

In Massachusetts, there is a designation perhaps similar to your QEP (if not bogus) known as License Site Professional (LSP).

Might be well to check with your state licensing board to see if such a license exists in your state as Ron suggests.
