Qty in BOM not showing

Using 2004 SW........creating an Excel Bom template from one that was supplied with SW. Anyways, when I add another column, the Qty column shows up with the word "qty" at the top, but no quantities in the column. I do have in the name box quantity (didnt change it from the Bom template that was supplied with SW. All my other columns work, including ones i have added. Any ideas? thanks

don't remove the $$END and always add a column in fornt of $$END or you will get strange results.

Greg,
Double click on the BOM itself, then off the BOM to see if the Qty’s come in. We have formulas in our quantity which causes the QTY not to show for us. We are setting up the SolidWorks BOM to use just because of this issue.

actually just figured it out. I deleted the "partno" column...........it needs to be there......

Just rememebered - Don't delete any columns, just hide them or you will get strange things to happen if you need to add something new, just add a column.
