QTY IN NX8 BOMs

I am trying to create a QTY column in a custom BOM. It keeps giving me qty 1 for all my items even though there are multiples of each item. Column type is "quantity" and default text is "$~Q"

Are the multiple items showing up only once as a single row, but with a Qty of '1', or are each of them showing up with their own row in the Parts List?

Yes I have multiple (identical) items showing up in single rows with qty 1. But then I have a case (items 11 and 12) where there are 2 rows. One row has qty 1, other row has the balance qty.

Kapmnit, I attached an image. Hopefully the attachement will work. Last time I tried to attach a file it failed for some reason.
