ASME Sec V Article 4 T-421, change of thickness(without specifying the range) is considered as essential variables which require re-qualification.
1. Does it mean a change of thickness even if it is 1 mm require re-qualification?.
2. How will we qualify UT procedure. is there any separate demonstration block required or calibration block as per ASME Sec V is enough to qualify?.
3. As per T-150, section (d) when procedure qualification is required by the referencing code section, a qualification demonstration shall be performed. is there any reference available for the preparation of demonstration block and that too does it require for each thickness, a demonstration block is required?.
4. As per ASME sec VIII Div 1 2019 and ASME B 31.3 2018, only written procedure is required in compliance with T-150, not procedure qualification, hence in this case do we require to qualify the procedure or just a procedure demonstration is enough?.
Completely confused with procedure demonstration and quantification demonstration (in other words Procedure qualification)
