Hi All

Does anlyone has expierence in thermal-stress analysis. Goal of my analysis is to calculate stress distribution after quenching process.

Transformation kinetics of material will be neglected in analysis.

Regards and thanks for help.

williwang I know that neglecting material transformation is not good idea but It is nessecary in this case.

TGS4 my main question is about convection parameter. How to calculate it during quenching process (it depends on temperature value)?

If your convection coefficient is a function of temperature, then model it as a function of temperature, as a pre-defined field. Look at TFM for information on hwo to do this.
