Hi,

I have converted the FIL file in Abaqus to ASCII format.

I want to understand the eigenmode numbers and corresponding normalized nodal coordinate from the FIL file.

But when I am opening is notepad, there is so much data that I can not make out which are the nodal coordinate and their corresponding Eigen mode.

Could anyone provide any direction please on how I can understand from the FIL file the nodal coordinate and their corresponding Eigenmode number?

Is there any way that I can open my FIL file (ASCII format) in an understandable way?

Check the documentation chapters listed under Output --> File Output Format --> Results file output format. But generally speaking, these files are not easily interpretable due to their intended purpose. You won't be able to read them as smoothly as in the case of .dat files.

Thanks, I will check that out.
