I don't know if this can be done. It is possible to make cotes in a 3d view? for example in an isometric view. I've tried doing this but the cote has an incorrect value. I'd be usefull to clarify some models.

From what I know, I don’t think the 3D dimensions are real ones, I think they are dimensions of the projected views on a plane parallel to the screen. Anyway they are useful sometime when used as generic dimensions (text dimension replaced with a letter for example), related to a table that shows a range of those dimensions.
Anyway, you can place the dimensions as they are on the isometric views, and change the values to the real ones.

Hi Pascual,

Yes, it is possible. Go to your part and from the right menu select SETUP->REF DIM->CREATE->choose by surface or by edge, depending on what you want to measure->CLICK ON YOUR REFERENCES TO CREATE DIMENSION (the dimension will be shown in brackets) ->SET VIEW->ANY VIEW-> DONE.

Now, if you want to see it, then choose: SETUP->REF DIM->SHOW->pick on references used to create dimention.

Now in the drawing you will be able to show this dimension and will give you the real dimension. Check the ALLOW 3D DIMENSION to be on in your config.pro
