I want to simplify the output of a draft. It happens that I used solid edge before proe, and when I printed a draft the hardcopy was more friendly read than now with proe. Why? because solid edge don't display too much lines, unions between surfaces, etc. So the hardcopy was esay to read.

There is any way to tell proe not to print surface unions (for example), or any simplification to reduce the number of lines proe prints?

Yes,
In the view display mode, you will find things such as "No Display Tangent" and "No hidden lines" and the such. You can also delete lines you do not like in the edge display mode. All this is in the drawing functions. I assume you mean drafting drawings.

Yes, I mean drafting drawings. I confused a bit with the terms. I've found that in view/config view/model view (I think is like this in english menu) I can configure the tangent permanently.

thanks

pascual,
Sounds like you got it. Play around in the View Modifications area as well as the Display Modes, View Display and the Edge Display. Sometimes to can just delete one or two lines that appear confusing.
You need to practice a bit.

Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be, but once you learn......

I've been trying a bit and I have a trouble. To print drawings I configure proe to do not show tangent lines (this aproximates to what I want), but working with solids I need to configure proe to show tangent lines (shadowed).

It'd be nice to have the 2 configurations automatics. I'm looking in the config options but I haven't found them.

Sometimes it helps to change the color of the solid. There are not many options for displaying solids that help. There is always one shade and light direction that looks best. I don't show edge lines and I don't play around with solid model displays other than color.

Something for you to try,
If you need to highlight the tangent lines in your part, for various display reasons, you might try this:

In the "Edit" menu, there is a "Selection Preference". Select "All selectable items" and then you can look at a solid without edge display, which I find confusing. When you move your cursor over an area, it is highlighted so that you can see the edges, after you pass over the edge, it remains a line and the next edge is highlighted. After you look at all the edges, you can repaint to get rid of all the lines.

I don't know what you are looking for, exactly, but sometimes I find this useful...good luck.

I'll finaly keep tangent lines viewed atenuated and I'll ocult them when I'll go to print a draw whith a lot of lines to simplify it (the initial problem). I'll have to take care of this change.

thanks for help
