Okay, here it goes I am doing some of my first drawings in NX and I have a need to add appended text to a feature parameter that I have pulled in from the model. For example I have a 0.250 DIA hole that goes thru my part. I want to add text that calls the hole out as a press fit. But NX will only let me attach the appended text to the "thru" part of the call out. This looks weird and is very long beacuse the only place to put it is at the end. So, how do I add the appended text to the feature parameter such that it is below the 0.250 DIA portion of the call out?

Hopefully, this make sense

When you edit (add) appended text, there is an option as to where you want the text to be placed (directly above the space provided to type in your text). I believe it defaults to "Before".

Believe it if you need it or leave it if you dare. - [small]Robert Hunter[/small]

John, so if I understand you correctly I have to create an additional text box that contains the "press fit" call out. If so please tell me that someone is working on fixing this. I add lots of notes to holes like; press fit, slip fit, and # of places all over my drawings. While I will have to make do, that is a painful process.

I also have another question. Can I change the way NX presents the feature parameter call out. Example, I have a 10-32 threaded hole and the call out looks like this...

10-32 UNF-2B
<deep char> 0.375

I would like all of this on one line without the massive gap between 10-32 and the UNF-2B. Again, I would like to put the # of places call out below this line.

Regards,
Doug

Aren't Hole callouts based on templates when using the feature parameters (at least in NX5)? If so, then just edit the template for the appropriate callouts.
