My first 2 project assignments in the field:

1. Our company has just released a proposal for consideration to one of our clients for equipment preventative maintenance. Equipment being considered are Main Switchboard, "MS", (11)Cutler Hammer switchgear breakers W/Digitrip 520, (2)Main Circuit Breakers, (1)Tie Circuit Breaker W/Digitrip 520. How would I evaluate this job and our scope of supply and what would you envision would be my responsibilities leading up to the assignment and how should I manage it?

2. Our company has been quoted a price of $27,750 by a local contractor to handle demo of existing gear and placement of new gear including cabling and terminations. Our proposal and inclusions to the client are to store the 4 section gear line up, load and transport the gear at time of install, build one concrete pad per spec A730 sized for new gear line up, set and anchor new gear on pad, Install two, 4 inch PVC conduits from new pad to the adjacent normal transformer and emergency transformer pad site, install 2 parallel 600 MCM copper conductors per phase from each transformer to transfer switch in new gear line up, make all terminations. Again, as in job 1, How would I evaluate this job and our scope of supply and what would you envision would be my responsibilities leading up to the assignment and how should I manage it?

Sorry to be blunt here but,

They are probably the most open and ambiguous questions you can ask.

If you want some valuable answers you need to ask more specific questions other than "How do I manage Project X?"

What are you particular concerns? What stage is the project at? What is the next Stage? Where are you stuck?

etc etc.

Thanks,
Andrew

What you're asking is not a simple question with a simple answer. You seem to be looking for a mentor or tutor, which can only be realistic from within your company, not anonymous strangers on the web.
