Hey All,

This is probably a silly question but I haven't been able to find a clear answer anywhere. Is cold drawn steel beams common such as I beams?

If not, does cold drawn only refer to sheets, plates, and bars?

Typically the only shapes available cold worked (and left in that condition for higher strength) will be sheet and bar.
It is always cold rolling for sheet and can be either drawing or rolling for bar.
Plate might be cold rolled to improve surface finish and/or tolerances but it won't be cold worked enough to change its properties.
Shapes are almost never cold finished.
