Quick calc overall length of a welded hydraulic cylinder

Would someone please share how to get the general length of a welded hydraulic cylinder. Someone told me it years ago and now I need it. Basically what I am after is what is the general body length including the over-head (piston, end cap, gland, etc). It doesn't have to be exact but I'm trying to get general dimensions for the collapsed length and extended length.

I recall it was something like: Stroke + ( 10% x Max Working Pressure) or something like that.

I don't think any rule of thumb would be very accurate. It depends on bore size, end connections, stop tube if any, and teh mfrs methods of construction.

Pick a vendor page of dimensions on the inet for a closer approximation.

We use Aggressive Hydraulics for all welded cylinders.
