I have added many Custom Macro buttons in SW2003 and in SW2004. However, on SOME SW2004 stations the "Choose Image" button is disabled so the default icon is used. It's a bugger when all the custom icons look the same.)
How do I get this button enabled again? What caused it to become disabled in the first place?
Thanks for you help
Doug

djamatoit,

I have the exact same problem. I tried "Alternative to try before reinstalling" in FAQ, but it didn't fix.

Now, this is a walk-around, but try this at your risk because you have to edit registry.

1. Go ahead and assign a macro without selecting BMP while the button for the option is grayed out. You just remember where your BMP is.
2. Run "regedit" and find "User Defined Macros". In my case, "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2003\User Defined Macros"
3. Find a proper "Macro Folder" and double click "Bitmap Path".
4. Type in the path for your BMP and close "Registry Editor" If you have multiple macro, repeat the process before closing.

Now, you have your BMP assigned to your icons.
