A contractor has mentioned to me in the past that he has seen what people call "gator traps" used to get stormwater to flow upwards. According to him, these devices consist of a 90-degree elbow that has a spring-loaded cap on it. The spring pops up and the water comes out on top. These devices are used whenever there is no fall to have have stormwater flow via gravity so they install them to get runoff upstream. I have a project where I have a need for this device. However, I can't seem to get in touch with the said contractor and was wondering if anyone here knows the manufacturer of these devices. I need to research these devices and see if they can get incoming stormwater from the bottom of the catch up about 4 feet high and into the small infiltration basin because I'd really like to avoid having to use a pump. Has anyone in here used these devices in the past and could you provide me with manufacturer name? Thanks

The description suits a swing check valve. Low pressure models are available. Just check whether they are OK.
