"Program Exception:Access violation" Error in Algor

Hi All,
Anybody know the reason for an error with an MES analysis that looks like this in the ALGOR window where we track timesteps and covergence ?

That could be many things. The file apak4.exe is the MES solver executable. I'd contact Algor tech support. Almost anything could have caused your error.

I'd expect Algor to be very keen to replicate this problem as it reveals a bug in their Fortran source code !
 
I do not think this is a registry problem. It is a bug in Algor and I find them all the time. Re-installing will not help. Algor has to fix this.
 
I agree it is a bug, but it is related to the registry. I've seen this dozens of times. One of Algor's tech support guys even wrote a subroutine to re-register the .dll's. That subroutine shows up in the newer versions of Algor, so I haven't had the problem with v.19 or 20, and I didn't see this particular problem prior to v.16. apak4 seems to have the biggest problem with it...I presume they found the problem prior to the latest couple of releases.

Mechy20, has this happened in v.20?
