I need some help. I am using an SMI data collector, Construction V, Version 6. My instrument is a Lietz Set 4A. My problem is that my instrument does not seem to function with the data collector during the SHOTS function which is used to turn multiple angles to a single point and average them for improved accuracy. I have gotten it to work with a different instrment, but the Lietz is what I use every day. For some reason, when I try to zero the BS direction in the SHOTS function, the data collector displays the BS angle as by vertical angle rather than my horizontal angle. I plan on calling SMI to see if their are any instruments not compatible with this function, but I would appreciate any help from someone who uses this software and has possibly seen this problem. Thanks.
