Is That permissible To consider a flexible joint at fire pump's suction and discharge flanges in order to isolation of vibrations? such as rubber joints that placed for water booster pumps.

As fire hoses used in the fire engine to pump the water in and out, it seems there is no issue to have flexible joints connecting to the fire pump. However, the rubber joint could be a reliability issue as operated for some years.
