"Visualize in the Bill Of Material" / vb Question

we use v5r14

On the properties window of any product there is a check box option entitled
"Visualize in the Bill Of Material"

Is there any way for some vb code to access/control/affect this button?
Does anyone know if the button's value is stored in some (hidden) parameter?

Not as far as I have found & I have looked a lot.

It could very well be on of the mysterious catia parameters. I tried creating a macro to discover the parameter. No luck. I have checked other forums with no results.
