All,
we have a new vessel just arrived at site, not in operation. However, the design temperature needs to be increased by 50F, which will not impact thickness, MAWP or hydrotest pressure that was done.
I believe a R stamp is required even it is new vessel per NBIC Part 3.4, and attach the R stamp next to the existing nameplate. But someone is thinking just to replace the existing nameplate with a new nameplate that has the new temperature. I don't think that is right. What is your opinion ?
