Anyone, need answer fast.
Pls calculate the pressure drop across a 5/8 od copper tube with wall thickness 0.7mm, length=15m, with R22 hot gas at 70 degC, 20 bar, flow at a) 1hp b) 1.5hp TQ.

One will have to make an assumption of what flow rate you are obtaining with 1 horsepower. For R-22 a/c applications, we can figure a 1 hp compressor will provide an approximate flow rate of 2.9 lb/min. We will then assume the 1.5 hp compressor will provide 2.9 * 1.5 = 4.35 lb/min flow rate. Your 70°C discharge temperature would be consistent with a medium temp or a/c R-22 application.

Using a line sizing program I've written, I get a pressure drop of 0.56 psi for the 1 hp application, and 1.2 psi for the 1.5 hp application. Vapor velocities work out to 551 and 827 ft/min respectively.
