Dear Sirs,
The above thread exactly describes my situation. Thanks to Eng-tips.

Recently the diesel generator (Kohler 330 P5) is enclosed in acoustic box and intense heat is being generated inside acoustic. We are planning radiator side cooling through duct and want to know the axial fan requirements for generating air requirements to balance the heat generated by engine and generator.

I could not however find the manual for this kohler model. However I got a 2 page document describing some critical features including the air requirements.

In the air requirements spec,
The radiator cooled cooling air is mentioned as N.A.

How can I find the cfm requirement for radiator side duct design including a fan inorder to have a proper air flow from inlet generator louvers through engine to radiator. which can pick up the heat generate by engine and generator and maintain the proper working temperature inside acoustic.

Attached 330 P5 specification.

Thanks,

About asking kohler engineering department for help because I am certain that this line of inquiries comes up a lot of times with kohler's costumers.

I am able to get Kohler 330P5 spec.

The last section "Air requirements"
Radiator cooling air 679.6 m3/min
Combustion air 24.8 m3/min
Engine heat reject to ambient 2511 Btu/min
Alternator heat reject 1250 Btu/min

Btu H / CFM results in 9 deg F.

The control panel of Kohler shows water temperature 82 deg C.
Any more inputs on this.
Kindly advice ...
